We’re excited to announce that our own James Bickham is the latest recipient of the KAIT 8 Gr8 Act of Kindness award.
James is an agent and photographer on our team who jumped into action after people were already struggling with the pandemic and then a deadly EF-3 tornado hit the Jonesboro community. In addition to helping others who were directly hit salvage what was left of their belongings, he also helped feed them.
When a friend contacted James saying that she had pizzas to give away from Chuck E. Cheese, he used his social media accounts to get the word out. After giving away 40 pizzas on the first night, the line started to grow and grow. As more and more people got involved and also paid it forward, upwards of 3,500 people received meals.
