In the past, you’ve probably heard me throw around the term “MLS.” Today, I’d like to explain what exactly the MLS is.

First of all, MLS stands for “multiple listing service.” The multiple listing service is what agents use when they list a property for their clients. Listings are put into this system when they go on the market.

Northeast Arkansas actually has its own MLS, with an office located here in Jonesboro. Over 400 local agents are members of this MLS.

Now that you understand what the MLS is, I’d also like to share a warning with you. Certain companies will tell you that they can put your home in the MLS if you pay them a certain flat fee.

I want to let you know that these companies are not affiliated with our local MLS.
