When you're looking to buy a home, you may ask yourself: "Should I buy a new home or an old home?" Today, we want to help you answer that question.

For some people it's simple - they want a new home because they want a bathtub that has never been used and a kitchen that has never been cooked in, among other things. Typically, when buying a new home, you're going to have to pay the listing price or something close to it. So, be aware that there isn't a lot of flexibility for newer homes here in Jonesboro, especially because there isn't a great deal of new construction out there right now. On the other hand, the new amenities and a home warranty from the builder make the price more than worth it.

If you're thinking about buying an older home, you should be aware of a few things. Older homes have more character - they were built years ago and have features you can't find in a new home. Additionally, older homes often have the benefit of being in a better location, which is why many people opt to buy one. There simply aren't many new homes being built in the central Jonesboro area, because there isn't much space to do so. On the flip side, these homes may not have a warranty, but there are warranty products available if you would want one.

It really comes down to a personal preference when deciding whether you would like to purchase a new home. If you would like to discuss your options, or would like more information on new construction or older properties, give us a call or shoot us an email. We would love to give you a hand!
