It’s just been a crazy year! The weather has been constantly shifting, the winter has been wet as can be, and houses aren’t being built as quickly as they typically are this time of year. So what has that done to affect the market overall?

Well, right now, there are more homebuyers in the market than there were last year at this time. It’s likely this influx of buyers is due to the fact that interest rates are still historically low and that mortgages are easier to get this time of year, as compared to 2018.

Right now, we’re listing four, five, six, and sometimes seven houses in a given week!

Overall, the market has been good for sellers. We’ve had a lot of activity on our listings in terms of showings and offers, and when offers come in on a property, we’ve been getting them sold.

There has also been a pretty significant increase in the number of listings we’ve seen this year. Normally at this time of year, we typically would list two or three houses a week. Right now, we’re listing four, five, six, and sometimes seven houses in a given week! This increase means that buyers have a larger pool of inventory to select from, which I’m sure will make them quite happy.

Meanwhile, Jonesboro and the Northeast Arkansas area economies continue to grow. New jobs are added every single day, which, in turn, pushes the real estate market forward.

If you’re thinking of buying a home in or around the Northeast Arkansas area, or if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’d love to help you.
